Oleg Girnyk

Alumni of 2020

Oleg is a very pleasant, hard-working student who adopted a mature, positive approach to his studies throughout the two-year IB programme. Oleg also made a big impact on the wider school community through volunteering to support many school events. He also demonstrated his leadership skills by helping to run the World Scholars’ Cup team, leading the team to success in national and international competitions. Today Oleg is a student of the Exeter University in Exeter, Devon, South West England, United Kingdom.

Ashur Perandis

Alumni of 2020

Ashur came to BISU part way through his IGCSE programme and with the support of the school joined our IB cohort after completing Year 11. With a passion for language, a love of geography and great skills as an artist he grew academically and personally as a result of his IB studies and successfully obtained his IB diploma in 2020.

He is currently planning to return to his home country of Australia to major in geography and cartography at a university in Queensland. Australia (Queensland) – Cartography and Geography

Ashur-Eli made a big impact on the wider school community whilst at BISU. He not only volunteered to support many school events, but also demonstrated his leadership skills by helping to run the World Scholars’ Cup team and being part of the schools Eco-Committee. He further showcased his creative side by being an active participant of the Drama Club, leading to a captivating stage performance.

Khrystyna Fedoruk

Alumni of 2020

Khrystyna graduated from BISU with 37 IB Diploma Programme points in 2020. She was a dedicated and hardworking IB student. Throughout the course she worked diligently and was very organised. She earned the Proxime Accessit award (runner-up to the Dux Litterarum) this year.

She is currently planning to start a Business Administration course at Amsterdam University.

Khrystyna engaged with the wider school community through researching, planning and delivering presentations to KS3 and KS4 students on a wide variety of topics from Remembrance Day to the importance of respect. She demonstrated excellent leadership skills through her participation in the Student Parliament and was keen to represent the student voice; a vital bridge between the student body and school leadership.

Sergiy Klepikov

Alumni of 2020

Sergiy graduated from BISU with 37 IB Diploma Programme points in 2020. He was an excellent IB student, who grew in confidence throughout the course, always ready to act on advice from his teachers. He worked hard and earned the Dux Litterarum award this year.

He is currently planning to start a Politics, Philosophy and Economics undergraduate course at a UK university. King’s College London/University of Manchester – Politics, Philosophy and Economics

Sergiy was an active member of the Eco-Committee, a group dedicated to using the student voice to make BISU a greener and more environmentally aware school. In CAS, Sergiy has taken every opportunity to engage with the wider school community. He has researched, planned and delivered presentations to KS3 and KS4 students on a wide variety of topics from Remembrance Day to the importance of respect.

Dmytro Marynovich

Alumni of 2018

Dmytro graduated from BISU with 38 IB Diploma Programme points in 2018.
An outstanding student, he was the first to be awarded the prestigious Dux Litterarum award. Dmytro entered the highly reputable Warwick University in England, to study Law. He has completed two years of study and is about to embark on his third year.

Yeva Kiperman

Alumni of 2020

Yeva contributed to the wider school community through her active membership of the Eco-Committee; a group dedicated to using the student voice to make BISU greener and more environmentally aware. She further showcased her creative side by being an active participant of the Drama Club and a keen performer.

Ilyas Schito

Alumni of 2020

IIyas was awarded the position of Head Boy at BISU last year and rightly deserved the position. This was a fantastic achievement which showed his commitment to student leadership at BISU. In CAS, Ilyas has taken every opportunity to engage with the wider school community. He showed excellent leadership skills through participation in the Student Parliament where he had a very positive role. Subject teachers universally praised his hard work, positive attitude, ability to meet deadlines and a determined approach to his studies. Ilyas has been accepted to the University of Warsaw for the course of Finance, International Investment and Accounting.
