Nivki Early Years and Lower Primary School

School page

The Kyiv Nivki Primary Campus serves children 38 years of age.

Students follow the National Curriculum of England that focuses primarily on the development of the whole child as an inquirer. English is the language of instruction. For children whose native language is not English two years in Nursery and Reception are usually enough to become proficient English language users, enabling them to develop socially, and achieve academic success across the curriculum.

At the Kyiv Nivki Primary Campus children study until they finish Year 4. Years 56 are completed at the Kyiv Nivki Secondary Campus. Starting from Year 2 students can also study the Ukrainian Programme and prepare to take the exams for the Ukrainian Atestat.

Kyiv Nivki Primary Campus is proud of its warm and family-like atmosphere as well as its close cooperation between teachers, students and their parents.

School page

The Kyiv Nivki Secondary Campus was the one where the history of the British International School Ukraine started 20 years ago. Today it is an all-through school accommodating children from 3 years old to 18 and offering the full British Curriculum (Early Years Foundation Stage, National Curriculum for England, Cambridge IGCSE and A-Levels) complemented by an optional Ukrainian programme.

The campus serves children 8–10 years of age who finish their Primary years programme (3 – 7 years of age) and children 11–16 years of age who are offered the English National Curriculum Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 Cambridge IGCSE. The Nivki Secondary Campus is a Cambridge authorised exam centre where students can be assessed using the Cambridge Checkpoint exams and the Cambridge IGCSE exams.

In Years 12–13 students can study the two-year A-Levels Programme, a qualification which allows students to enter universities in the UK.

The school also offers a Dual Curriculum programme for parents who wish their children to study for the Ukrainian Atestat.
