This week Nivky and Pechersk Campuses went on a tour to Software and Computer Museum. It was an amazing adventure demonstrating the evolutionary way the software and electronic devices have gone so far.
BISU students literally went through time and saw one of the first Apple microcomputers dated 1977, first gaming consoles, computer games and game cartridges. They were excited to meet JIMBO, the world’s first social robot released in 2015.
One of the teachers, Karl, was particularly excited to see one of the museum’s exhibits – The BBC Micro. This very computer was used in his own school when he was a child. It was released by the British Broadcasting Corporation at the end of 1981.
