The BISU Dnipro campus recently celebrated its own International Week. Students and teachers learnt more about different countries and celebrated our school’s international nature. Each class from Early Years to Year 6 became a country for the day. The students toured 2 countries per day, with their passports in hand and took part in cultural activities related to each.
Some of the activities included sampling ‘rooibos tea’ in South Africa, nibbling on crepes in France, learning to count in Italian, dancing a jig in Ireland, experiencing a wax museum in America, playing hockey in Canada, bartering in Kyrgyzstan and viewing a traditional Ukrainian folk tale.
The week-long celebration ended with a performance for parents showcasing traditional dances, songs and poems from each country.
We cannot wait for next year’s event!
