Have you ever thought about meeting Princess Diana, Albert Einstein, Queen Elizabeth, Steve Jobs, Marie Curie, Coco Channel, Taras Shevchenko, Mark Zuckerberg or even the notorious Adolf Hitler in person?
If you did, your dream could come true after visiting a Living Museum performed by BISU Year 5 students at Nivki Upper Primary and Secondary Campus! Just drop the coin and chat with your preferred significant person!
Year 5 students were learning about Significant People (good and bad) for their UOI2 and had a truly unique learning journey! They learnt to understand that significant people can and do influence others in good ways, but also in negative ways. They really had to research these people in depth, critically discuss, and then take on the role of that person in real life. Wow!
The students had the freedom to choose a significant person and investigate their influence on the world we live in today. They had to be very open-minded and reflective inquirers, they needed to think “outside the box” and develop their analytical skills. Some even had to challenge their own judgments, not to judge the world based upon their own perceptions, but to explore the work of others from an international perspective and with an open-mind!
