On Friday, the 15th of March, the Year 3 students presented their final project on a unit about symbols.
Students studied symbols and how symbols have meaning through shape and colour. Each child designed a symbol for a superhero and one for a villain that they made up.
The students then learned a step-by-step process of writing comic books. The comic book started by jotting down ideas for characters, setting, and plot on a scratch pad. Next, the students drew a rough sketch of what their comics will look like. Last, each student wrote and illustrated their own comics.
There were many creative ideas in the class that were shared at the assembly.
