During the spring break Year 7-11 students who study French had a week-long residential trip to France, where they had a very diverse cultural programme.
In Paris they visited the Louvre Museum, The Palace of Versailles, Montmartre and The Eiffel Tower, had a boat ride on the Seine and went to the major business district La Défense. Students also went to Normandy where they visited the city of Rouen, Deauville and Trouville as well as the Château de Chantilly – a historic château located in the town of Chantilly about 50 kilometers north of Paris. While in France, students also had a chance to have fun while visiting two Disney World parks.
“We learned and had fun at the same time. Guides showed us all the beauty of Paris. I didn’t even think that Paris was that beautiful” – says Alexandra from Year 7.
This trip gave students a chance to learn more about the rich culture and history of France, practise French and generally broaden their world view.
“Now we know for sure that Paris is a city from a fairy tale, the world fashion and art capital,” – says teacher Evgenia Poberezhniuk. -”This trip gave us the impressions and memories that will stay with us forever.”
