BISU students visited the animal shelter and brought gifts
BISU students could not stay away from the problem of destitute animals and decided to make a gift to our four-footed friends. On December 5, on the eve of the winter holidays, they visited the Gostomel Animal Shelter, sponsored by the Happy Paw Charity Foundation. The trip was attended by teachers and students of different ages from three Kiev campuses.
In the shelter, there was a small tour and students were shown the pets and told the stories of how the animals got into the shelter and how they live there. The four-legged wards greeted the guests with joy, and the students shared care and warmth. And what about useful gifts? In October the school announced a fundraising initiative, the money was used for pet food purchases and it was handed over to the shelter.
This was the second visit, in December last year, the students visited the shelter for the first time.
We are happy that such events become a good tradition. For such occasions, children learn to be kind, to take care of their neighbors and to help those who need care.
