The swimming instructor Volodymyr Korol became a member of the Ukrainian National team on the “Invictus Games-2018”
This year Ukraine will take part in the “Invictus Games” for the second time. At the competitions in Sydney which will be held this fall from October 20 to 27 our athletes will compete in six disciplines: athletics, swimming, rowing on the simulator, cycling on the highway, archery and powerlifting.
Selection of candidates for the National team of Ukraine began in February. 355 veterans decided to test themselves in sports competitions, which is twice as much as last year.
The more valuable is the news that Volodymyr Korol, the swimming instructor of Nivki Primary, entered the Ukrainian National team.
It should be noted that the Ukrainian team will participate in the international competitions of athletes for the second time. Last year in Toronto Ukrainians won 8 gold, 3 silver and 3 bronze medals. We hope that last year’s example will inspire the National team of Ukraine for even greater achievements!
We wish Volodymyr to conquer new sport heights!
Note: “Invictus Games” is an international sports competition for military men and veterans. It was founded by Harry the Prince of Wales in 2014.
