BISU Students Visit the Animal Shelter

During our World Animal Day Celebration on 4th October, the Pechersk and Nivki schools collected money and food for "Happy Paw".

It is an organisation in Kyiv that dedicates its time and resources to rescuing and caring for cats and dogs.

We bought the required foods and medicines requested by “Happy Paw”.

Consequently, the Pechersk students were invited to visit one of the shelters to meet volunteers from the organisation and learn more about the work they do.

Student Parliament carried out the important task.

Last week the Nivki school representatives – Rebecca Jackson, Y4 teacher, and administrator Yana Andreieva – also passed on donations collected by Nivki students to “Happy Paw”.

The charity organisation recognised our effort and teamwork and we were awarded a Thank-You Certificate that read: “for caring about problems of homeless animals and actively supporting “Happy Paw”. Your help enables us to save disadvantaged animals every day and make their lives better.”

We are grateful to and proud of all our students, parents and teachers who participated in this important initiative!
