28 students from Years 7-11 Nivki Secondary school signed up to take part in the Secondary school table tennis tournament, that started last week. 4 teachers also decided to participate. They all competed with each other for two weeks and on Tuesday, 30 January, it was time for the final game. Maxim from Year 10 and Mr. Michael Lidvall the geography teacher came to find out who is the best player in the school. The battle was intense and Mr.Lidvall was all sweaty at the end, but he managed to win.
Mr.Lidvall said he started playing in his childhood but did not like it and his father actually made him practice regularly and participate in all sorts of tournaments and competitions. And gradually he started winning his first games and tournaments and grew to be rather a good player. Mr.Lidvall stressed how important it is to consistently make small steps and keep moving forward to reach a big goal.
