The Mitten Year 2 Production at Nivki Primary
On Thursday, 31th May Year 2 students from the Nivki Early Years and Lower Primary School presented their production which was based on the results of learning the Imagination unit of inquiry. Students learned how to express their thoughts and feelings through dance, music and drama.
The class worked together to retell the famous Ukrainian folk tale “The Mitten” using two different perspectives. The English version was an interpretation of the traditional version and the Ukrainian production integrated a more modern twist. Students acted, sang, and danced modern and traditional songs. They worked very hard and everyone enjoyed the show very much.
