Students of Year 6 from Nivki Secondary campus in Kyiv finished learning the ‘Business and Trade’ unit of inquiry, which is a part of the transdisciplinary theme How We Organize Ourselves. To show what they learned students worked as entrepreneurs in group of two to produce a business plan for goods/services that can be used by classmates. Each team had to determine the resources needed, cost in time and money, and jobs required to complete the task.
Students created their company name and designed their logo. They did marketing research, trying to predict how popular their product would be among students and calculated potential sales and revenues.
Students presented their business plans to a panel of experts consisting of a team of school leaders.
