This year Coca-Cola celebrates its 100th anniversary. The Year 10 Business Studies students from BISU decided to get acquainted with the world-famous brand and organised an excursion to the Coca-Cola Ukrainian factory, which is the largest in Europe and second largest in the world.
The purpose of the tour was to give the students an insight into an international business where they could apply the knowledge they are learning in the classroom to a real-life business situation.
The tour consisted of two parts: a museum and the factory. The tour started with a brief history of the company and how it has developed into a world-famous brand. During the second half of the tour, they got acquainted with the fascinating technological process of transforming our most pure water of the Mesozoic period into the most fashionable beverage in the world. They also witnessed the highly mechanized production process from the bottling of the drinks right through to the packing and transportation stages. The tour concluded with everyone having the opportunity to sample the drink in the museum.
BISU would like to thank Coca-Cola Ukraine for being such gracious hosts.
