Year 13 Students Visual Arts Exhibition
On Thursday, 4 April two Year 13 students from the British International School at Pechersk Pavlo and Yelyzaveta opened the IB Visual Arts Exhibition. They presented their works, created as part of their Art and Design IB Diploma Programme. Teachers, parents and other students could visit the exhibition and contemplate their works.
In his art-making Pavlo investigated the American Dream, which symbolizes the belief that anyone can be successful in America if they work hard enough.
“I was inspired by Scott Fitzgerald’s novel “The Great Gatsby”, that shows that American Dream is only an illusion”, says Pavlo. “The concept of illusion is linked through all my pieces”.
