On Wednesday, 21 March, Year 3 from Kyiv Pechersk Campus students presented very diverse and engaging performances on stage. Their production was the culmination of the ‘Performances’ unit of inquiry and also many weeks of hard work. Students sang and danced, showed magic tricks and pantomimes.
The central idea was “Performances engage an audience and invite a response”. After researching what engaging means and looks like, the children chose the type of performance that they were interested in. They spent weeks diligently creating, practicing and refining their own performance. They went through several review cycles with peers providing feedback and suggestions.
The process encouraged them to be creative, self-reflective and work with their peers in order to produce these fantastic performances.
